Leadership Bios

Barbara Whitaker Overstreet serves as the director of advancement at The Potomac School, a role she has held since July 2013. Overstreet was a member of Potomac’s Board of Trustees from 2003-2009. Upon receiving her BA from Middlebury College in Vermont, she moved to Washington, DC to begin a 15 year career in commercial real estate development with The Bernstein Companies. She has also previously served as a director and co-founder of The Alaska Native Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing awareness to, and appreciation of, native Alaskan art, culture, and its people.
