Our Upper School roboticists recently competed against a field of 55 teams in the VEX Robotics Competition high school division. They played the same game as the VRC MS division, just at a more competitive level. Teams 12A, 12B, 12E, 12H, and 12X made it into the elimination bracket. 12H, the Happy Haystacks, progressed to the semifinals, which qualified them for the World Championship; this team also won the Innovate Award for their engineering design process. Team 12A, through their dedication to placing high in the skills challenge, also qualified for the World Championship. Both teams will travel to Dallas, Texas in late April to compete against the best teams from around the globe.
