October 24-28 (virtual): Movie screening - Chasing Childhood. This feature-length documentary explores how free play and independence have all but disappeared from kids’ lives. Free play, unsupervised by adults, is critical for developing essential life skills, including grit, independence, and resourcefulness. The film explores how and why helicopter parenting became the norm in many communities across the United States. All PCW member school parents, administrators, faculty, and staff are invited.
