Trustee Nominations
The Potomac School Board of Trustees is seeking nominations for candidates to serve as elected members of the board. Nominations are collected on an ongoing basis. Nominees should have the ability and willingness to fully participate in the board’s work.
Candidates should
-
understand and actively support the school's mission, vision, strategies, goals, and core values;
-
desire to serve as an advocate and steward for the school;
-
attend all board meetings; and
-
be able to contribute to effective board functioning and balance the needs of many diverse groups.
The board’s Committee on Trustees will determine whether a given candidate satisfies the criteria for trusteeship and would add value to the board in specific areas to help implement the school’s strategic priorities and vision for the future. These areas include, but are not limited to, financial, legal, business, education, management, technology, health and wellness, and arts and culture. If you would like to nominate someone who you believe has the ability and willingness to serve, please send a bio to Natalie Bush, chair of the Committee on Trustees. Mrs. Bush will be happy to answer your questions.
