US Robotics Competes at Battle of the Bridge
This weekend, two US robotics teams traveled to Woodbridge, VA, to compete in "Battle of the Bridge," one of the largest tournaments of the academic year. The tournament provided a great chance to see other Virginia robotics teams and qualify for States. Team 12X (sophomores Erim Ozcan, Ben Muhlendorf, Michael Giuliano, Andrew Mu, Ava Moazzez, and Ritvik Bandi) finished the qualifications ranked first, with a 6-0 record, while also ranking fourth overall in the skills competition. They continued their winning run throughout the day, becoming the tournament champions and going 10-0 for the entire tournament! Team 12B (juniors Ben Runde, Arav Bhargava, Daniel Overdeck, Devin Gaines, and David Gardner) also had a successful day, finishing 20th while going 3-3. They ended up reaching the quarterfinals, where they lost in a close match to 12X.
