PANELISTS

Raymond A Ritchey

Ray Ritchey serves as Senior Executive VP of BXP. Prior to his appointment to this position in January 2016, Mr. Ritchey served as Executive Vice President, Head of the Washington, DC Office and National Director of Acquisitions and Development, and since April 1998, Senior Vice President and Co-Manager of the DC office. Mr. Ritchey is responsible for all business development, leasing and marketing, and new opportunity origination in the DC area. He also directly oversees similar activities on a national basis.

Mr. Ritchey is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and received his Master of Science in Management from the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California.

David Cheek

David Cheek is the Co-Founder of The Meridian Group (TMG) and is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the firm as its Chairman and Managing Partner. He has over 40 years of industry experience.

Prior to founding TMG in 1993, Mr. Cheek managed and sold a REO portfolio for Riggs Bank. For eight years before Riggs, he managed the development operations for a large DC development firm, Peterson Companies. He began his career in 1979 in the real estate division at Prudential as an investment manager.

Mr. Cheek received his B.A. from Centre College and M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

David Rickey

Dave Ritchey has served as the Chief Commercial Officer at JBG Smith since 2023, prior to which he was Executive Vice President and Director of Commercial Leasing and Asset Management, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the commercial portfolio.

Before joining JBG SMITH in 2017, Mr. Ritchey was a Senior Vice President at CBRE, Inc. where he completed a wide range of office leasing, investment sales, and national consulting assignments. He also led CBRE's Technology and Media practice in the Washington Region.

Mr. Ritchey received his B.A. from Washington and Lee University and M.B.A. from MIT in Real Estate Development.

Eric Rosenthal

Program Moderator, Eric Rosenthal '03

Eric Rosenthal '03 is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Machine Investment Group. Prior to founding Machine in 2020, Mr. Rosenthal served as a Managing Director at Garrison Investment Group where he led real estate originations across Garrison's debt and equity strategies. While at Garrison, he was a member of the Investment Committee and held investment and asset management responsibilities across the firm’s structured finance and special situation businesses. Mr. Rosenthal has extensive experience investing across primary and specialty real estate asset classes, including the acquisition of distressed debt.

Mr. Rosenthal holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. He is a Trustee Emeritus of the Potomac School and is a member of several real estate industry trade groups and non-profit initiatives.

8:30 am | Tour of 2100 Pennsylvania Avenue Meet in the lobby for a tour led by Potomac School alumnus Sean Sullivan '01, Vice President at Boston Properties. The tour highlights will include Wilmer Hale Atrium space, GWU book store, Wilmer Hale Rooftop Terrace, and Conference Center.
 
9:15 - 9:30 am | Breakfast Assemble in the BXP-2100 Penn Conference Center for breakfast pastries and coffee.
 
9:30 - 10:30 am | Panel Discussion and Q&A Join alums for a moderated discussion by Eric Rosenthal '03. You'll hear from our panelists Ray Ritchey, David Cheek, and Dave Ritchey about the state of the Washington, DC real estate market and their forecasts for the future.
Parking or Metro | Guests may park in the 2100 Pennsylvania Avenue garage. The entrance is on Eye Street, next to Tatte Bakery & Cafe. Parking tickets will be validated at the end of the event. -Foggy Bottom Metro Station
