Pawpaw Plant Studies

Students in Ms. Lisa McLane's Sustainability and Climate Change class have been exploring the many ways that trees help maintain healthy ecosystems. After learning all about pawpaw ecology, cultural and historical significance, and nutritional value, students had the opportunity to sample North America’s largest native fruit. They collected the seeds and prepared them to overwinter for spring planting.
