Model UN Competes at American University

This past Saturday, 16 members of Potomac’s Model United Nations team attended the Washington International Relations Conference at American University. The conference's theme was "The African Century," and our students competed with and amongst 12 other schools from around the area. The MUN Club spent the morning in workshops to hone their diplomatic skills, including public speaking, resolution writing, negotiation, and parliamentary procedure. In the afternoon, students simulated various scenarios in specialized Crisis Committees and General Assembly sessions focused on Africa. As always, Potomac's representatives were respectful and enjoyed their time immensely. Look for additional information on upcoming Model UN conferences this year.
