Mental Health Assembly Moves the Upper School Community

On Monday, students gathered for Potomac’s annual US Mental Health Assembly. There, a small group of students spoke about their personal journeys in an attempt to destigmatize mental illness and encourage those who might be suffering in silence to seek support. After the assembly, the counselors hosted a lunchtime conversation to continue the discussion in a less formal setting; they were also available for any students who wanted to check in individually. Thank you to our student speakers for their courage and vulnerability.
