Guest Speaker from the World Bank Joins EFEB Students
The Economics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Business (EFEB) Concentration hosted its final outside speaker of the school year with a visit by Potomac parent and Infrastructure Finance Specialist at the World Bank, Philip Lam. In his talk about International Development/Infrastructure, Mr. Lam explored infrastructure – telecom, water, roads, and energy – through a variety of different data indicators. He discussed the benefits and challenges of infrastructure development and discussed specific improvement projects that he was involved in, including a wind farm in Mongolia and a water project in Angola. Mr. Lam offered our Upper School students a unique global perspective on infrastructure development.
