Grade 12 Retreats to Chincoteague

Grade 12 Retreats to Chincoteague

The Class of 2024 successfully navigated a presidential motorcade and a temporary closure of the Bay Bridge to take advantage of time and beautiful weather together in Chincoteague, Virginia, last week. The class shared meals together, biked and hiked the trails of the Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge, spent an afternoon on the beach, and reflected on their goals for the year. In these reflective moments and in conversation with each other and faculty, our seniors stressed the importance of engaging with their community, reaching out to old friends, being vulnerable with one another, and bringing conscious and intentional positivity to their role as school leaders. Getting away from the DMV, enjoying the outdoors, and taking advantage of a respite from our hectic schedules to connect and prepare for the year – this is what the Senior Trip is all about! Special thanks to all our chaperones and advisors for taking time away and executing a smooth and memorable experience.
