Elite Level Athlete Speaks to Anatomy Class
During our study of the musculoskeletal system, the grade 12 anatomy and physiology class was fortunate to have a very local guest speaker who is an Olympic training center athlete, pro cyclist, and Lower School science teacher! Jessie McKinney spoke about her experience as an elite-level athlete, her strict training refinement, and the realities of professional athletics. The students were then able to ask her questions ranging from cycling terminology and techniques to the mental health struggles and performance enhancing drugs that so often permeate professional sports. Thank you for sharing your experience and story, Ms. McKinney!
