College Counseling Events

On Tuesday, April 25, the College Counseling Office hosted Victoria Dawe, senior assistant dean of admissions for Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Dawe met with the entire junior class during Panther Time to talk about jumpstarting the brainstorming process when writing their personal essay. Students learned about the role of the essay in the admission process and critiqued two essays to assess the effectiveness of each. Last week, the College Counseling Office and Compass Education Group hosted a webinar to share information about the landscape of standardized testing and the shift to adaptive, computer-based testing.
