Dear Middle School Parents,

We are excited to welcome you to Middle School Back to School Night tomorrow, Thursday, September 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm! The evening will have three parts, and we want to share some helpful information with you in advance.

Parents are asked to come to the Middle School at 6:30. The first forty minutes of the evening will be dedicated to an open house-style opportunity to meet your child's special subject teachers. Each teacher will be in their classroom or lab, ready to say hello and answer a question should you have one. We recognize that this format doesn't allow for a deep dive into the curriculum, so we have asked each special subject teacher to share some explanation about their courses on a slide deck. At 7:10, all teachers and parents will head to the Langstaff Auditorium, where Middle School Head John Mathews will offer some remarks.

Finally, at 7:40, parents will move to their children's homerooms, where the teachers will share an overview of this year's homeroom-based curriculum. The event will conclude at 8:30.
